Established in 1997, GiftCertificates.com has endured the dot com bust of 1999, multiple company locations, as well as a variety of management teams and styles. Now firmly planted in Omaha, Nebraska, the retailer is undergoing a transformation in order to prepare for massive growth. Geppert will share the challenges of managing a pure-play business, and discuss how search and affiliate programs contribute to the success of the company. You’ll discover the fundamentals of the reinvention strategy, from brand redeployment to the design of a customer-centric organization.
As the VP of Marketing for GiftCertificates.com, Adrianne Geppert is responsible for the GiftCertificate.com brand, their online presence and product development for the company. She is also leading the effort to launch a new product line for the company in 2007 and renovate the company’s leading gift certificate product, the SuperCertificate.® Prior to GiftCertificates.com, Geppert was Director of Marketing for Borsheim’s Fine Jewelry and Gifts. There she managed the brand, overseeing development of all catalogs, radio and print advertising, public relations and major events. And as Internet Manager for Borsheim’s, Geppert led the drive to develop one of the first successful online jewelry sales strategies.
